MEET MS. WU - RM 15

My name is Ms. Wu and this will be my fifth year teaching! Teaching and working with kids is my passion and I can't wait to get started working with yours!

I have a BA in Psychology and double minor in Education and Chinese from UC Berkeley. In May 2011, I received my MA in Teaching at the University of Southern California along with my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential.

I first started my teaching career at Thornhill Elementary in Oakland, where I enjoyed two years of teaching 1st grade, and a year of teaching 2nd grade. Despite my love for the school and students, I had hoped to one day move back to the Peninsula area to be closer to family. Lucky for me, the opportunity arose with San Miguel Elementary in Sunnyvale, where I took on a first grade teaching position. Mandarin Immersion has also always been an interest of mine, so I am very excited to be joining the College Park team this year!

Prior to my teaching life, I spent four years tutoring students grades 1 to 5 in East Oaklnd and Oakland Chinatown along with working at summer camps like Camp Galileo.  I also student taught in a 2nd grade and 4th grade classroom. I really enjoy having a classroom of my own and look forward to having a great year with my third grade students!
